Clear terms for
consultancy services.
These terms explain how consultancy services are requested, confirmed, paid for and delivered, together with the responsibilities that apply when using the website and engaging our services.
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to consultancy services arranged through it. They are intended to provide a clear understanding of the service process and the responsibilities of both parties.
General
By using this website, submitting an enquiry or engaging consultancy services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with any specific service information provided to you before the service is confirmed.
These terms apply to professional IT infrastructure consultancy services, including reviews, planning consultations, requirements assessments, technology guidance and related advisory work.
If a specific written arrangement provided for a confirmed service differs from these terms, the specific arrangement will apply to the extent of that difference.
Consultancy Services
The services provided are professional IT infrastructure consultancy services. They are intended to provide practical advice, assessment and recommendations based on the information available at the time of the consultation.
Services may include consideration of areas such as:
- IT infrastructure and current technology arrangements.
- Network structure, connectivity and future requirements.
- Cloud infrastructure and hosted technology arrangements.
- Business hardware requirements and technical specifications.
- Technology improvement priorities and practical next steps.
- General IT technology requirements and related planning.
The exact scope of a consultancy service depends on the service selected and the requirements discussed before confirmation.
Enquiries & Bookings
Submitting an enquiry or requesting an appointment does not automatically create a confirmed booking.
Appointment requests are reviewed against service requirements, availability and the proposed scope of work. A booking becomes confirmed only after the appointment and relevant service arrangements have been confirmed separately.
Requested dates and times are subject to availability. Alternative arrangements may be discussed where the requested appointment cannot be accommodated.
Payment
Payment is not required simply to submit an enquiry or request an appointment.
Once the service requirements and appointment arrangements have been reviewed and confirmed, the applicable payment information will be provided separately.
Unless another arrangement has been expressly agreed, payment is normally required before the consultancy service begins.
A consultation or service appointment may be subject to confirmation of payment where payment is required in advance.
Customers should follow the payment instructions provided for their confirmed service and should not send payment through unofficial or unrelated channels.
Service Delivery
Consultancy services are delivered according to the scope, appointment arrangements and requirements agreed before the service begins.
Depending on the service, delivery may include a consultation, review of information supplied by the customer, discussion of current IT arrangements, consideration of requirements and practical recommendations.
Recommendations may be provided verbally, in writing, during a consultation or through other agreed communication methods.
Any expected outputs or deliverables will be explained as part of the relevant service arrangement.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing information that is reasonably necessary for the consultancy service.
- Information supplied should be accurate and sufficiently detailed for the agreed consultation.
- Customers should identify relevant requirements, constraints and existing arrangements where known.
- Customers should ensure they have authority to provide information about their business systems and technology.
- Customers should provide reasonable access to any agreed information, documents or systems required for the consultancy.
- Customers remain responsible for decisions made following consultancy advice.
Delays caused by missing information, unavailable personnel, inaccessible systems or changes to the agreed requirements may affect the timing or scope of the service.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation and refund arrangements are set out in the separate Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Where applicable, consumers have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. The relevant period and any exceptions depend on the circumstances of the service and applicable consumer law.
Where a customer expressly asks for consultancy work to begin during the applicable cancellation period, cancellation rights may be affected to the extent permitted by law, particularly where services have already been performed.
Where a service has started, any refund may take account of consultancy work already delivered, subject to applicable law and the separate Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Cancellation before service commencement
Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change a confirmed appointment. Refunds, where applicable, are handled in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, materials supplied as part of consultancy services are provided for the customer’s internal business use.
Customers must not reproduce, resell, publish, redistribute or commercially exploit consultancy materials as a separate product or service without appropriate permission.
Customers retain ownership of information, documents and materials they provide for the purpose of the consultancy.
Information & Recommendations
Consultancy recommendations are based on the information, requirements and circumstances made available during the consultation.
IT environments can change and technology products, services, specifications and supplier arrangements may also change. Recommendations therefore relate to the circumstances considered during the agreed consultancy.
Where third-party products, platforms, suppliers or services are discussed, the customer remains responsible for reviewing the final commercial terms, specifications, availability, licensing arrangements and suitability before making a purchase or implementation decision.
Consultancy does not constitute a guarantee that a particular technology investment, implementation or business outcome will produce a specific result.
Liability
Consultancy services are provided with reasonable care and skill based on the information available and the agreed scope of work.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection legislation.
To the extent permitted by law, responsibility does not extend to losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer, decisions made independently by the customer, changes made after recommendations were provided, or actions taken by third-party suppliers or service providers.
Customers should maintain appropriate backups, security controls and business continuity arrangements for their own systems and data.
Website Use
The website is provided for general information about consultancy services and for submitting genuine enquiries.
Users must not use the website in a way that could damage, disable, overburden or interfere with its operation.
Information on the website may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to services, availability, pricing or other business information.
Website content should not be treated as a substitute for a specific consultancy assessment where a business requires advice based on its particular circumstances.
General Legal Terms
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
A failure to enforce a provision immediately does not mean that the provision has been waived.
These terms should be read together with the applicable Booking Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy.
These terms may be updated when necessary. A revised version will apply from the date it is published unless a different effective date is stated.
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
